Home in Place has established a strong platform on which to build future growth. 

We have formed strong and productive relationships with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other key government agencies, and the private sector to increase the range and quality of affordable housing options across New Zealand. 

As a member of Community Housing Aotearoa (CHA), we subscribe to their vision that "it is a basic human right for ALL New Zealanders to have a warm, safe, dry and affordable home”. CHA is the peak body for New Zealand’s community housing sector, and we are one of 90 members providing affordable, appropriate housing for approximately 25,000 people nationally across 13,000 homes. 

Our partnerships with the Ted Manson Foundation, Soho Developments and Du Val have seen the delivery of mixed tenure, mixed use developments across Auckland and into regional New Zealand.

The availability of these new properties will encourage all residents to participate in the social and economic life of their communities, irrespective of whether they rent or own their house.

All the properties are located close to transport, retail, education, volunteering and employment opportunities. 

With over 45 years’ experience in the construction sector, Ted Manson formed the Ted Manson Foundation in 2014 to enable a more coordinated and larger scale contribution to the community and charities sector.

The foundation’s aim is to use their expertise to provide long term housing to those New Zealanders who are struggling to find a suitable place to live. 

Soho Group develop design-led, socially responsible public housing throughout growth areas of Auckland and regional New Zealand.  

They focus on large scale, medium density solutions to inject appropriate housing close to amenities. 

At the core of their design is tenant ease of living and welfare. They strive to exceed Building Code standards and provide opportunities for communal and social spaces to provide tenants with a sense of community.  

The Du Val story began in 2013, with a vision to build large-scale residential projects in key Auckland locations.

Today Du Val is one of New Zealand's largest full-service residential-led property developers having settled 774 homes in the Auckland market in the last six years alone.

With in-house land acquisition, design, development management, construction, facilities and property management teams, Du Val provides end to end solutions to improve housing outcomes for occupiers and owners alike.
