CELEBRATING DIVERSITY

Mangere East and Papatoetoe | South AUCKLAND

Our fully furnished studio apartments in South Auckland provide a safe haven and affordable living arrangement through free electricity, water and free WIFI to some of our most vulnerable community members.

Our South Auckland residents range in age, gender and ethnicity with over thirteen countries represented across the two complexes at Mangere East and Papatoetoe.

Residents have formed close relationships with their neighbours and actively combine their collective skills and knowledge to achieve common goals. We are pleased that with a secure home, many are now engaged in employment, skills training and apprenticeship programmes.

The sense of community was evident during the COVID-19 lockdown period with neighbours looking after each other, shopping, cooking and picking up medicine if needed. The Papatoetoe tenants also worked with the Māori Wardens to make masks and put together care packages for distribution during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Inclusive Communities

Our South Auckland residents celebrate their diverse cultures and backgrounds.

They share their knowledge and skills and have formed close bonds. For some, their neighbours have become family.
