Home in Place and Soho Group have developed their first South Island project in Nelson.
The development includes 38 new social housing homes across two buildings, with a mix of 14 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom units in the town centre.
The design incorporates communal areas to support connection and a well managed residential environment.
A dedicated building manager’s office is included on site to provide day to day support for tenants and strengthen community outcomes.
All homes are designed to provide safe, secure and affordable living for local families, with a focus on long term stability and strong tenancy support.
The project is located beside the heritage listed Trinity Presbyterian Church, built in 1891.
The church is recognised for its architectural and cultural significance, including its timber construction, steep gabled rooflines and its prominence in Nelson’s early settlement history.
The development has been carefully planned to respect and sit comfortably within this historical setting.
